Emily is a member of the Ulster Swimming Squad has been training with Scott since Dec 2008. He has been leading on
her gym programme and nutrition. Since starting with Scott she has become stronger, leaner and faster in the pool. She has
achieved a number of personal best times in that period and is the current Ulster Junior Record holder in the 100m Fly.

Scott created a specific Rugby orientated program for me to help boost my playing potential and capabilities.
He also gave me pointers regarding my diet and supplement choices.
Although I'm used to weight-training and have done so for many years Scott's program was quite different
to what I was used to; far more varied, interesting and sport specific.
Overall, these implemented changes have been very positive for me most importantly for day to day well being
and feeling good both physically and mentally. I put this down to a combination of both the program Scott put together which
although is more intense allows for greater rest and subtle changes made to my diet from input from Scott.

The goal of Scott’s training program (which was followed for 12 weeks) was to develop my posterior chain; specifically
targeting those often underdeveloped and weakly firing areas on a woman. I can emphatically say that has happened.
The intense style of the training program suited my mentality to go in and beast myself; yet having a 2 week
rotation of the training programs prevented overtraining and allowed me to progress on my lifts. I hit 100kg on Romanian Deadlifts,
which I would not at the start considered that a feasible achievement.
I have also noticed my weak glute activation corrected and definitely know my glutes are firing. This has been
accompanied by an increase in butt size, but also in pertness, so my jeans size did not increase and now that diet is coming
into line I am back in jeans I haven’t been able to wear for year.
Am I stronger? Yes, in certain aspects, posterior chain as mentioned. My leg speed, explosive power and strength
have improved; great news for my rugby. I also seem to be making progress with my weak shoulder. I have definition there now
where I have always just been massive before.
I particularly liked the method of having a big bang compound with 10 sets then supplementing that with smaller
assistance exercises that were alternated. This stopped me getting bored and as you alternate exercises you can keep the
intensity high while increasing rest times.
One last thing... I now have lats!

I asked Scott for help in my quest to shed body fat while maintaining health and improving my performance in my weight training
and open water swimming. The plan he put together for me was comprehensive, easy to understand and, most importantly, tailored for my
own preferences.
Admittedly, some of the things seemed totally bizarre to me and caused some raised eyebrows and doubt to begin with, but I went with it.
All I would say to anyone is trust what Scott is telling you to do. It may seem strange but it works! In 8 weeks I lost 5% body fat (3.3kg)
and gained 1.7kg of lean mass. Not only that, but my energy levels were infinitely improved, my skin and hair were in much better condition,
and I generally felt more healthy all round.
One of the most surprising, but perhaps most welcome benefits, was that my cellulite decreased dramatically to virtually nothing! My ability
to perform in the gym, swimming pool and open water has been given such a boost it is tangible.
I cannot fault Scott in the plan he put together for me, and his support was always prompt and answered my questions. I have nothing but

Through a combination of free weights, interval training and boxing I have managed to get back into 34 inch jeans.
I really enjoy the training sessions as Scott ensures there is plenty of variation to keep me on my toes. Regular
body composition checks, using skinfold calipers to measure my body fat, ensures I always know how I am progressing.
Scott has also paid particular attention to my dodgy knees. I am pleased to say that since training with Scott they
have vastly improved and this has allowed me to enjoy walking on the Mourne Mountains once again.

I've always had problems sleeping; two young children and working on an off-shore oil rig will do that!
